Gwendolyn Mravca

Soprano Gwendolyn Mravca has appeared both nationally and internationally in a variety of repertoire: as Dido in Purcell’s Dido and Aeneas; Lola in Cavalleria Rusticana; and also in Mozart’s Requiem, Handel’s Messiah and Barber’s Prayers of Kierkegaard. She is an alumna of St. Mary’s College and completed her M.M. in voice performance at The University of North Carolina, Greensboro.

Ms. Mravca has appeared as soloist at the Amalfi Coast Music Festival, the Alba Music Festival, the Schlern International Music Festival, and the Oberlin Baroque Performance Institute. With the National Opera Association’s acclaimed UNCG Opera Theater, she was heard as Mrs. Jenks in The Tender Land. Other productions with UNCG include Lakme and H.M.S. Pinafore.

Ms. Mravca is a frequent recitalist in the Washington, D.C. area, often in conjunction with the River Concert Series. She has served on the faculty of St. Mary’s College as Instructor of Voice, as grant panelist for the Maryland State Arts Council, and maintains a private voice studio.
