Laura Langbein inherited her addiction to G&S operettas from her parents, who listened often and took her to see D'Oyly Carte when they performed in Baltimore. She played clarinet in the G&S orchestra at Oberlin. She has been with the VLOC orchestra for about 5 years. During the day, she is a Professor of Public Policy at American University.
