This delightful concert double bill features two uproarious Victorian one-act operettas: The Zoo by Arthur Sullivan and B.C. Stephenson, and Trial By Jury by Gilbert and Sullivan. In The Zoo, romantic entanglements unfold amid the animal cages, as a nobleman disguises himself to win the heart of a refreshment girl and a pharmacist’s misguided attempt at suicide nearly causes chaos. Trial By Jury is a sharply satirical courtroom romp, where a jilted bride takes her faithless fiancé to court, only to find the legal system as absurd as her predicament. Packed with catchy melodies, clever lyrics, and madcap plots, we guarantee an evening of fast-paced, laugh-out-loud entertainment.
