Frequently Asked Questions

How do I sign up?
Interested performers can sign up through the Sign Up Genius form above with their name, contact information, and piece.

How does it work?
Once you've signed up successfully, you will be emailed a Zoom ID link. We ask that everyone sign into Zoom 15 minutes prior to the recital to iron out any technical issues you may have with video or audio. We highly recommend playing your accompaniment track on a separate device. Therefore, you should set up one device to connect to Zoom and then have another device to play your track. This will help reduce any audio interference.

Where can I find scores or piano accompaniment?
Digital Score Resources:
  1. imslp.com -- Search by show title
  2. www.gsarchive.net
  3. If all else fails, email Keely.B.Borland@gmail.com for PDF.

Piano Accompaniment Resources:
  1. Youtube.com – Put in in keywords like karaoke/piano accompaniment
  2. Appcompaniest -- This is a subscription app for your smartphone. Once you search for the song you can then modify it to fit your tempo, change the key, and even have the melody play over top of the accompaniment.
  3. https://www.gsarchive.net -- For each show, select Web Opera. You can then download midi tracks for specific songs. That being said, Java software is needed to play these.
