What you agreed to on your audition form

  • If cast, I agree that I shall not hold The Victorian Lyric Opera Company (VLOC) liable for any injury or harm incurred in the course of preparing or performing this production.
  • I understand that I will be expected to pay yearly membership dues of $25 for adults, $15 if under age 18, if cast in this production, to be included in VLOC’s insurance policy.
  • I understand that I will be required to provide appropriate footwear as requested by the production staff (i.e. character shoes/ballet slippers for women and lace-up dress shoes for men).
  • I further recognize that, as VLOC is a community theater group that relies on its members for all aspects of production preparation, I will be asked to contribute time and effort beyond rehearsals and  performances toward production-related tasks (such as costume construction, set building, etc…).
  • I understand that, while the directors will strive to work around scheduling conflicts during the rehearsal process, if cast, I will not have any conflicts with the rehearsal calendar during the tech/dress rehearsal week leading up to the performance dates.  Any conflicts that arise beyond what is listed on my attached conflict sheet will be submitted via email to the directorial staff as soon as possible for approval, and should be of the nature of work, school, and family emergencies (meaning: NOT social engagements or “I forgot”).   I also understand that performance conflicts are unacceptable. The VLOC production team reserves the right to cut anyone from a production who does not comply with the conflicts policy.
  • I hereby consent to the photographing or audio recording of myself and my voice and the use of these photographs and/or recordings singularly or in conjunction with other photographs and/or recordings for advertising, publicity, or other business purposes. I understand that the term "photograph" as used herein encompasses both still photographs and motion picture footage.
  • I further consent to the reproduction and/or authorization by The Victorian Lyric Opera Company to reproduce and use said photographs and recordings of my voice. Further, I understand that others, with or without the consent of The Victorian Lyric Opera Company may use and/or reproduce such photographs and recordings.
  • I hereby release Victorian Lyric Opera Company, and any of its associated or affiliated companies, their directors, officers, agents, employees and customers, from all claims of every kind on account of such use.

Victorian Lyric Opera Company is supported by funding from Arts and Humanities Council of Montgomery County,
Maryland State Arts Council, and City of Rockville.
