About

Head south with us to a nation rich in history, culture, and tradition. Don Medigua, viceroy of Spanish occupied Peru, has a problem. His predecessor, Luiz Cazzaro is attempting to overthrow him and retake power with the backing of an elite force of Peruvian rebels and their fearsome military commander El Capitan.  As the leader goes to more and more elaborate lengths to cling to power hilarity ensues.

Meanwhile, the Quechua Princess Taciturnez, cursed to be mute, embarks on a harrowing journey through time in order to regain a voice for herself and her people.

A rarely performed work, John Philip Sousa's El Capitan features some of the March King's most delightful music including the world-famous "El Capitan" march. You won't want to miss this one-of-a kind musical gem!
