Blair EigA member of the company since the roaring ‘90s, Blair served as VLOC Board President for 10 years, remained on the Board and currently serves as Treasurer. With his singularly booming bass-baritone voice, he has appeared in countless shows in principal roles with countless fake mustaches. John PerineFor three decades, John was VLOC’s answer for whatever male role was needed. He played every comic baritone, and pretty much every other baritone and even a tenor role in the G&S catalogue. John is also the inspiration, through his famous portrayal of the Lord Chancellor in Iolanthe, for the gold stripes on the robe of the late Chief Justice William Rehnquist, who saw the production and wanted to look like John! Inducted July 2021.

Joseph SorgeVLOC’s third (and current) Artistic Director, Joe has led the company into a new and expanded age of opera performance over the past two decades. Our repertoire has grown significantly, and the quality of performance by the orchestra and singers is vastly improved. Joe also established the company endowment with a generous gift to help sustain VLOC into future decades. Inducted July 2020.

Rusty SuterRusty is a stalwart member of VLOC and has appeared in the chorus for over 30 years. Denise YoungThe Swiss Army Knife of VLOC. A fabulous performer who has performed almost every lead soprano (and some lead alto) roles in the repertoire, she has also been a bedrock for us for the past 20+ years. In her capacity as producer, costume designer, company president, and financial wizard, she has graciously served in more roles for VLOC over the past two decades than any other individual. Inducted July 2020.
