Trial By Jury
Opened March 25, 1875 at the Royalty Theatre and ran for 300 performances. Hijinks in a courtroom, as the “bride” sues for breach of promise. Trial is the only one act G&S opera, usually played along with another opera.

He finds a volunteer in Nanki-Poo, the Mikado’s son, who loves Ko-Ko’s ward, Yum-Yum, but is it a good idea to compass the death of the heir apparent?
