![]() Now that we've introduced you to our entire fabulous Ruddigore cast, it's time to get to know some of them a little bit better. Tom Goode, a long-time VLOC member, starts out our series of cast interviews. What's your role in Ruddigore? Sir Roderic Murgatroyd When and how did you first get involved with VLOC? I've been a Gilbert & Sullivan fanatic since childhood, but I had seldom had an opportunity to perform in the operas. In the early 1990s, I found myself working in the same office as the then president of the company, Larry Garvin, who encouraged me to try out. My first show was Patience, in 1993, and I've been appearing pretty regularly ever since. I've managed to live out most of my performing fantasies during that time, and I'm grateful to VLOC for making that possible. When you're not performing in community theatre, what do you do? (job, hobby, family, etc.) I work for the Catholic Archdiocese for the Military Services, as a records clerk, mostly supplying baptism and marriage certificates for military brats. I like to collect recordings of classical music, including thousands of LPs. I've also gained a reputation for being a cryptic crossword aficionado. I live near Kensington with my wife, Jane, and our daughter, Tory. Thanks, Tom! Be sure not to miss Tom and the rest of the Ruddigore cast - secure your tickets today! Just call the F.
