![]() Ruddigore opens exactly one week from tomorrow! We're all incredibly excited about this fun and hilarious show! Today, we bring you an interview with one of our talented Rose Maybuds, Keely Borland. Name Keely Borland What's your role in Ruddigore? Rose Maybud When and how did you first get involved with VLOC? This is my second production with The Victorian Lyric Opera Company! I first joined VLOC last year when I performed the role of Mabel in The Pirates of Penzance (June 2014). Pirates was a great experience and I'm so happy I got the opportunity to work with such wonderful people again and make new friends! When you're not performing in community theatre, what do you do? (job, hobby, family, etc.) I'm a Self-Employed Opera Singer and strive to make a living off performing. I am the Soprano Section Leader/Soloist at Christ Episcopal Church in Rockville, MD and teach private voice/beginning piano lessons to all ages! Hobbies: Yoga, Photography, Ceramics, Food, Movies (Old & New), and cuddling with my sweet cat - Lizzie! Visit my website for more information & upcoming performances: www.KeelyBosworthBorland.com Thanks, Keely! And keep your eyes peeled for more interviews as we get closer to opening night.
